BBR History

Birch Bay Resort is located right in the heart of Birch Bay overlooking Washington's beautiful Puget Sound coastline.  The Resort provides residents with seasonal community living, private beach access and pathways to local markets and restaurants.  The Resort is located just a few miles south of Blaine, Washington and the Canadian border and one hundred miles north of Seattle.  With breathtaking views of Birch Bay; the San Juan Islands; and Mt. Baker, Birch Bay R.V. Resort offers the perfect blend of outdoor activities and peaceful relaxation for the entire family.  Birch Bay Water Slides is located within walking distance as well as golfing, fishing, clamming, swimming, horesback riding, and hiking.  The tranquil setting of the bay provides a sanctuary for personal healing and the ultimate climate for relaxation and fun. 

We offer year around space rental for full or part-time resort living for Park Models, 5th Wheels, Trailers, Motor Homes or Park Trailers.  Also, we are a licensed dealer selling Park Models built by various quality manufacturers.  

History:

Birch Bay R.V. Resort started in 1950 under the name of Birch Bay Trailer Park & Sales on 35 acres of former farm land owned by Earl Vogt.  The Red Barn and chicken sheds are still at the Resort, but today we have over 125 mobile homes, park models and trailers with people vacationing here on a year around basis.

Below are some historical pictures of the property.  Customers use to register by driving their motorhomes or trailers through the middle of what was once the the barn on the property.  We are no longer using this "drive-through" registration, and currently use this space as our office, club-house, and "Earl's Angus Room" a community room used by our residents. 

Overnight camping started in the early 1950's.  Initially, residents had their units on the cliff overlooking Birch Bay.  As the years progressed, the rest of the farm was filled in by other manufactured homes and park models.  

Now, in the 21st Century, we continue to carry on the over half-century history started by Mr. and Mrs. Vogt in 1950 by providing quality services to the guests and residents coming to Birch Bay Resort on a year around basis.
